116 Presidents of Mediation Committee Cooperatives in Gakenke District have received modern mobile phones

A total of 116 Presidents of Mediation Committee Cooperatives from Sectors and Cells across Gakenke District have received modern mobile phones to enhance their daily operations, improve communication, and promote the effective use of technology in fulfilling their responsibilities. The phones were provided through a partnership with the Ministry of Justice, in an event attended by the Mayor of Gakenke District, Mukandayisenga Vestine.

. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of Mediation Committee Cooperative leaders and enable them to deliver more efficient and accessible justice services to citizens. The Mayor of Gakenke District encouraged the beneficiaries to properly use and maintain the phones, highlighting their importance as tools for improving coordination, monitoring Mediation Committee activities, facilitating timely information sharing, and leveraging digital solutions to strengthen community based justice services.
